CircaBuild Commons is a housing complex that aims to achieve efficient and functional use of spaces by maintaining the dynamic structure of a high-functioning city. This goal brings the term “edificity” to light. To maintain high edificity, research about the layoutsof city examples was made.
The research had two outcomes: axial and radial grids. These grids are intersected and integrated into the design, creating various and customized spaces working towards a cylindrical communal area. This communal area represents the city centers, containing study areas and libraries, meeting and conference rooms, social areas like a cafe and a terrace, and a fitness center. The idea is to locate the residential unit around public focuses such as this.
