Living Steps

This design integrates the staircase as a multifunctional and social space, connecting floors and offering semi-open areas for activities. With glass and polycarbonate elements, it creates a sense of transparency and transforms certain steps into communal zones that resemble an interactive street, fostering engagement. The design also incorporates outdoor stairs with glass transparency, which serve as an open art exhibition. Artworks created in the podium workshop are displayed here, adding cultural value to the space. Additional features include rooftop hubs for gatherings, rooftops with courts for recreation, and unit storage and toilet facilities under the staircase. Positioned centrally, the staircase enhances visual and physical connections, allowing natural light to flow, and fostering openness. Wide landings and outdoor art displays make this a cohesive, community-focused environment that blends interior and exterior spaces, emphasizing transparency and flow.
