Sepiolite (Lüle Taşı) is a soft clay mineral known for its unique properties. It is sourced primarily from Eskişehir and has a global reputation for its carved artifacts. Despite its presence and cultural significance in Eskişehir’s history, the art of sepiolite carving remains underappreciated. This project aims to educate the people of Eskişehir about the rich history and craftsmanship of sepiolite, creating a deeper appreciation and engagement with the art form.
To achieve this, the organization provides a range of facilities and services: an exhibition space on the lively ground floor featuring open public spaces and a cafe, a beginner’s studio for those interested in learning the craft, various rentable studios for individual and group use, a library dedicated to sepiolite, and additional study areas freely accessible to the public.
