This project explores the transformative potential of a transportation hub in Refshaleøen, addressing rapid urban growth and sustainability. It envisions Refshaleøen as a model for transit-oriented development (TOD) within Copenhagen’s historic industrial core. Key proposals include integrating Refshaleøen into Copenhagen’s transport network, enhancing water-land connections, establishing key axes with diverse spaces, and creating a cultural belt between Refshaleøen and the opposite shore. By promoting pedestrian and bike accessibility, mixed-use developments, and public spaces, this project aims to foster connectivity, resilience, and livability, contributing to Copenhagen’s sustainable urban future.
