The project aims to preserve and revitalize the town’s industrial heritage while fostering economic growth and community engagement. The historic Filyos Fire Brick Factory continues production, symbolizing continuity, while adaptive reuse strategies repurpose parts of the site for shops and recreational areas. This aligns with the ethos of “Where there’s smoke from the Filyos chimney, there’s life.” The project balances industrial heritage preservation with sustainable development. A new elevated platform deck overlooking the sea and forest offers panoramic views, enhancing the recreational experience and serves as a symbol of the connection between the industrial heritage of the town and its stunning natural surroundings.
