SOLIDARITY NEXUS

Located in Gdańsk, Poland, the project seeks to protect the historical context of the city while providing necessary facilities to the workers and visitors of Gdańsk. Solidarity Nexus stands at the intersection of the Solidarity Museum, the WWII Museum, and Shipyard Island. This strategic location connects vital cultural and historical points through pathways, integrating urban elements. In this project, existing industrial structures are repurposed as workshops, allowing shipyard workers and visitors to engage in cultural and skill-building activities. These workshops are directly connected to an exhibition space, incorporating an adjacent building into the community hub. The Solidarity Nexus serves as a cultural intersection, linking Gdańsk’s past with its dynamic present and fostering communal interaction within a historically significant setting.
