The Urban Block aims to be a modest, human-scale heritage center that emphasizes and enriches its surroundings. Given the high density of Ulus, a shortage of open and pleasant spaces exists. To address this issue, a vibrant courtyard space stretching from Mersin Street to Hisar Park was designed. This welcoming area offers diverse experiences and is adorned with perforated canopies.
Taking inspiration from the various building typologies in the vicinity, a mini-city has been developed, featuring distinct buildings interconnected through galleries. The urban connections of the center establish a dynamic relationship with the city, fostering community interaction.
