The Theater Library is specifically designed to preserve and promote theater culture, which originated in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu area and later relocated to Kadıköy due to demographic and economic challenges. The primary objective of the design is to unite actors and art enthusiasts under their shared passion for ”theater”. Delightfully positioned with a sea view, the seating stairs are situated between the workshops on the right and the library section on the left. This area serves as a pleasant gathering space for visitors, and occasionally, the theater stage can be set up at the end of the stairs.
Furthermore, the grassy area in front of the stairs accommodates the audience, while the stairs themselves can function as an alternative stage. To promote fluid movement between the two sections, open stairs connect the first floors of the right and left buildings, fostering circulation and interaction.
