Overlapping Continuity of Heritage, Circulation and Experience

The site is situated in the historically and culturally rich region of Kadıköy Moda Sahili, and the experience of users and its relationship with the context were deeply considered during the design process. Given its location at the intersection of Sahil Parkı and the city, the concept of an “overlapping continuity of heritage, circulation, and experience” emerged, transforming my library into a center for heritage creation, exhibition, and preservation.

In my design, the circulation experience of people intersects with the continuous memory and heritage of Moda. As a result, the library seamlessly integrates with the Sahil Parkı and the circulation patterns, making it an organic part of the surroundings, unlike other buildings that people escape from to relax and walk in the park area.
