The thematic library in Moda, İstanbul, centers around the medium of graphic novels, embracing the concept of “Levitation.” Comprising two interconnected masses, the library offers designated spaces for reading, working, and community-driven services. The cantilevered sections of the building, along with the connecting ramp system, create an illusion of levitation. Accessible ramps surrounding the building facilitate various entry points to different program elements, providing visitors with novel pathways. To support the cantilevered section, a steel truss system is employed, transferring the load to the sturdier column grid areas of the building.
