Interlacing in The Re-Developing UrbanEdges of Ulus, Ankara

The project, situated in the vibrant heart of Ankara’s Ulus district, aims to achieve a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and environmental sustainability. With a strong focus on ecological considerations, responsible practices are embodied at every stage of the project. It is a multifunctional structure that seamlessly accommodates the diverse needs of the community. The ground floor boasts a lively public space, featuring marketplaces, cafes, and social areas. Moving towards the upper levels, it offers private and semi-private spaces, including offices and educational areas. The main objective was to utilize the existing conditions efficiently, minimizing waste, while remaining budget-friendly and, most importantly, easily maintainable.
