Gordion Excavation House

The usage of natural resources is very important as the site is located in a rural area. Accordingly, the design was located to optimize natural resource usage. Circular geometries were used to have openings at every possible angle to get sunlight and wind inside. These circular geometries also provided a nice view through the tumulus. Additionally, the value of mud from excavation for agricultural purposes was discovered, and thus, a mud collection system was designed for both users of the excavation house and the locals of the Yassıhüyük village.
