The project is based on the guidelines of the competition of Milan Navigli Canal Challenge, and chosen area is the Cassina de Pomm. It is the area located at the very start of the competition path of the canal, where the Naviglio Martesana ends to run open before submerging under the ground into the closed canal.
The scenario is to navigate people and services through the re-opened canal, by specially designed water vehicles. By doing so, it will be providing service to all the other seven points of interest of the competition, without disrupting the historical environment of the city of Milan.
The proposed building that will be located at Cassina de Pomm will include production spaces, ie. a factory, for the service boats / water vehicles as well as exhibition spaces to introduce the visitors to the canal, an auditorium for local and tourist attraction, and a library for public use.
