This building serves as an architectural institute for architects, students, and researchers. The longitudinal strip is reserved for accommodation and lodging purposes and is enriched with open social spaces. The design provides a collaborative working environment to increase the interaction among students and researchers such as workshop spaces, ateliers, and designated co-working areas. The ground level includes a cafeteria & restaurant and exhibition spaces including a maquette & installation exhibition, material museum, art gallery, and material museum. Additionally, the ground floor offers a library, bookstore, and stationary for public use. The main source of light is provided by the oval extension openings on the roof throughout the day. The roof level is used as a semi-open social space with seating areas and greenery. The courtyard in front of the building is designed with respect to the existing Excelsior Mille building to engage the design with its unique historical context.
