The integration of mechanical and electrical systems into a design can present problems or create opportunities for the design. We know that designing with an understanding of which systems will be used and working them into your design takes spatial intelligence and foresight. As a part of ARCH 342 students are expected to take a current studio design or a previous one and integrate into the design the following aspects: mechanical heating, cooling, fresh air make up, electrical systems including lighting, plumbing, sanitary, fire sprinkler, and water supply.
