A Dutch Approach

Agnes van der Meij is a Dutch architect with experience in all project phases from conceptual design to ultimate realization. She recently arrived to Ankara from Brisbane, Australia, where she tutored design studios at the School of Architecture of the University of Queensland. She will lecture about her design process, whether or not influenced by being exposed to different cultures and approaches to architectural design.

Biography:

After completing her masters degree from Delft University, she practiced in Amsterdam, where she worked on a variety of projects including renovations, housing developments, shopping malls and urban vision and design. In 2003 she moved abroad to practice in New Orleans and Houston in a range of architectural projects. Currently she holds a position as full time instructor at METU, Department of Architecture.
