Focusing on street art and its practices, this lecture introduces a dialogue between art and the street, a celebration of street art and the city, and ultimately a quest for the special entanglement between space and the image through the study of space as image.
Biography:
Dr. Athena Hadji (Ph.D., UC Berkeley) is an archaeologist, anthropologist and art historian. Dr. Hadji teaches, conducts research and publishes in internationally established fora on a diverse range of topics from prehistoric sculpture to contemporary street art and concepts of utopia, among others. In addition, she is an acclaimed author in her native Greece.
