O. B. Türker [with a pseudonym; ‘Otto Turker’ in arts] is a cross-disciplinary artist and researcher continuing his artistic practices in his workshop in Ankara. Turker’s constructions mediate contemporary dialogues through architectural and structural processes, cross-spanning disciplines of cultural and archival studies, recycling technologies, and material-oriented art & science. Turker was awarded by various institutions including the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Architizer, Izmir Association of Architects in Private Practice, Istanbul Municipality, ArtAnkara Contemporary Art Fair, and World Architecture Community. He also has taken part in more than twenty international collections and exhibitions. Turker is currently teaching art and architecture at Bilkent University and pursuing Proficiency in Painting at Hacettepe University.
