Located in Paris’ 19th Arrondissement, this project emerges from a comprehensive analysis of the entire Petite Ceinture railway corridor, where each district informed a distinct design approach. Through the concept of “Grafting,” abandoned industrial voids are reconnected to the city by engaging their physical, temporal, ecological, and social layers rather than erasing them. A district-specific matrix system generates architectural responses that combine precast concrete modules with steel structures, creating adaptable interventions rooted in local conditions. Beyond a site-specific proposal, the project aims to establish a replicable handbook for the regeneration of post-industrial landscapes, demonstrating how localized strategies could eventually form a continuous ring of revitalized spaces around Paris.
