Solar frame is a project designed for the Botanical Park in Ankara. The design consists of workshops and exhibition spaces, each adapting to seasonal changes and sun paths with surfaces angled towards the sun, depending on which season the area is used the most and the needs of people in the workshops. The workshops are used to create animations and construct frames for slit animation, which is an animation technique created by sliding a striped surface over a multiple-frame image. The frames created in these workshops are later displayed in the exhibition area, which uses striped exhibition walls that allow the constructed frames to slide, while also projecting the animations on the walls across from the frames, using sunlight.
