Reconnecting Hacettepe Sıhhiye

Hacettepe Sıhhiye Campus is located in a dense urban setting where hospital and university functions operate together. Serving as a major healthcare center and medical education campus, its hospital and faculty buildings hold significant modern heritage value while remaining actively used. Despite this importance, the area is not optimized for its current intensity of use, creating a need for additions and reinterpretations. Analysis identified an open-air parking lot as the area with the greatest potential for transformation into new social facilities. The proposal establishes a pedestrian axis that strengthens connections between the campus and hospital, creating a more pedestrian-friendly and user-oriented environment.
