Sandıma, an abandoned village in Bodrum, is reimagined as a living archive where ruins, memory, and seasonal inhabitation coexist rather than a site restored to a fixed past. The project introduces a knowledgecraft framework of Traces, Frames, and Shelters, creating varying levels of intervention that preserve the site’s character while enabling new forms of communal life. Rooted in circular material practices; reclaimed stone, timber, and local construction techniques shape lightweight, reversible additions. Through agriculture, workshops, communal spaces, and seasonal dwellings, the proposal supports collective participation and continuity, establishing a sustainable architectural language that works with the landscape and reinforces Sandıma’s identity.
