Building on Ferda Kolatan’s description of misfits as elements that resist perfect integration and generate hybrid conditions through friction, the project reads Bergama’s morphology as an existing field of such productive collisions. Rather than smoothing out these irregularities, the project aims to work with them, treating each misalignment or leftover space as a catalyst for new architectural grafts. The goal is to produce intentional hybrids that extend the city’s adaptive logic, intensifying rather than simplifying its complexity.
