BiOtOType

BiOtOType responds to two major global issues: rising obesity rates and declining organic food production. Located in Louisville, Kentucky, the site hosts a master plan combining a wellness center and vertical farming. The building program includes fitness areas, a medical center, a bazaar for retail, and temporary accommodation units. To ensure adaptability, a modular vertical farming system was developed using three distinct module types, which come together in various configurations and are integrated into the wellness center to create a physical and visual connection between movement and agricultural activity. Ultimately, BiOtOType proposes a prototype lifestyle model that can be implemented anywhere.
