The Collective Hubs

Located between Ulu Camii Street and the Old French Girls’ High School in Adana’s historic center, this project proposes a civic spine uniting three Collective Hubs with a Sunken Bazaar.

The hubs -Culture & Community Engagement, Creative & Social, and Innovation & Learning- transition in function from culture to education. Elevated platforms, terraces, and connecting tubes link the hubs and blend into the public square over the bazaar.

Below, the Sunken Bazaar provides artisan shops and kiosks that foster local craft and activity. Adjacent to the bazaar, the underground parking lot eases congestion, reclaiming public space and enhancing the site’s cultural, creative, and economic vitality.
