Agora


Agora locates in a site where Seyhan Agriculture Directorate, near Ulus Park. It aims to respond to the socio-spatial consequences of migration waves and gentrification, and it seeks to restore public interaction. The structure elevates on columns, and it opens additional space underneath for open-air activities, temporary bazaars, and community events. It also fosters a sense of visual openness and permeability. A sunken corridor allows accessible and fluid movement through the site. The blue mass is the auditorium, and it establishes a distinct visual anchor while offering a new vista across the site. Walkable roof connects and auditorium and library with frame panoramic views of Taşköprü and the auditorium. Rain gardens placed near the Seyhan River enhance natural life, act as a buffer against flooding, and create seating zones for rest and gathering.
