Alsancak is an area where a rich historical background and new developments intersect. This project aims to bridge the history of Alsancak with a critical intervention on the former Şark Sanayi Factory site, primarily related to the sports industry. A Performing Arts and Sports Centre on this site could support the development of less popular sports and art activities, reflecting the cultural history of Alsancak. Covering around 30.000 m², the project gathers around 3 core towers that have facilities attached to them for martial arts training, gym, spa/rehabilitation, artistic gymnastics pool, gymnastics training, dance studios, an auditorium, theatre and music studios, music and sports club offices, and a sports and arts library with close and open parking spaces.
