Chambers of Emotion is a war memorial located in Mariupol, Ukraine. The primary objective of this project was to evoke specific emotions in visitors through its architectural elements. By employing various design strategies, its aim is to create an immersive experience that commemorates the past while allowing visitors to connect with the emotional impact of war.
The industrial history of the city and its traditions are reflected in the materiality, such as the perforation of metal cladding, which draws inspiration from traditional patterns of the region.
