This project examines how historic shipyard waterfronts can lose their importance after redevelopment, and how design can counter this tendency through continuity, use, and meaning. The main issue is the risk that Stocznia’s historically charged heritage becomes detached from everyday urban life. The program proposes a mixed-use, collaboration-oriented hub that combines adaptive reuse with targeted new interventions. The aim of the project is to preserve Stocznia’s industrial heritage while reactivating the site as an urban hinge that reconnects it to contemporary life, sustains continuous public use, and cultivates a collaborative environment where shared production, learning, and civic encounter can take place within an integrated mixed-use framework.
