“Acoustics of Dome” is a project located in Botanik Park in Ankara. The project consists of a stage, an amphitheater, an audio production studio and backstage. Acoustic conditions are prioritized in this design; therefore, the structure and the environmental conditions are utilized in order to enhance the auditory experience. The preffered structure is dome because the shape of monolithic domes ensure that sound travels through the dome perfectly. Additionally, the dominant wind blows from the north, thus the wind helps the voice to reach the audience. By recognizing these opportunities, this design provides a functional place for the locals to gather, compose songs and perform.
