Counterbalanced Realms

This project investigates how different ways of living can be brought together within a single architectural system. Developed around the concept of Counterbalanced Realms, the design responds to the user’s need for both privacy and independence. A semi-independent workspace capable of hosting clients is articulated alongside more intimate and grounded living environments. Rather than separating these conditions, the project establishes a clear relationship between them through spatial layering and continuity. Differences in enclosure, openness, position, and elevation define distinct atmospheres while remaining part of a unified whole. The result is a domestic environment that supports multiple rhythms of everyday life without losing coherence.
