Filtering Space

The design idea emerges from the working principle of a filter, behaving as a porous boundary. Derived from the user’s requirement, library is designed as a shared element that is both a member of private and communal spaces, which is actually a creator of the main axis. Stairs and angles used in planning contribute to the “porous boundary” approach. The more small level differences occurs, the more privacy will be felt by the user. Filtering process not only works with privacy, but also it adjusts the amount of sunlight with wooden panels. 3 axis combined with a triangular organization allow the distribution of communal office, personal areas and gym.
