My main idea was to create an abstract model that keeps balance between solid and void. In the model there is a balance among volumes when viewed from different angles. The model consists of two main groups and three variations for each group, made of different geometric shapes of varying sizes. In order to demonstrate main idea, three materials are used: cardboard, acetate paper and linear elements. In the main group only cardboards are used. In the first variation, both cardboard and acetate papers are used, while in the second variation both acetate paper and linear elements are leading. Accordingly, the last variation is mostly made of linear elements. This gradual change within groups creates balance between volumes. Additionally, the rule of rotation is applied to the variation of groups and groups are connected to each other by collusion, making gridal organization. To differentiate main groups and their variations, one of the main groups and variations are two times bigger than the other group and its variations and to enhance this difference complimentary colors( blue and orange) are used in the model.
