ARS MOBILIS: Revitalizing Fisherman’s Bend through Sustainable Mobility
The project seeks to investigate the urban evolution of Fisherman's Bend, a Melbourne industrial zone that has seen tremendous transformation. The project focuses on the more detailed urban renewal of the Lorimer district which was once home to Australia's car manufacturing industry, and its history inspired the creation of this new mobility hub project. This hub aims to establish a sustainable transportation network for the local population while also lowering carbon emissions and improving the general quality of life by integrating diverse modes of transportation and encouraging sustainable mobility options such as electric vehicles, bike-sharing schemes, and public transport.
Ars Mobilis is a multi-functional mobility center with environmental research facilities and offices, public areas for community activities, and a variety of transit alternatives to promote social and ecological responsibility.
