The Arts Library
The art library is primarily focused on promoting sustainable creativity. Its purpose is to provide a space for people in nearby districts to explore, discuss, and engage in art. The design of the library prioritizes environmental care and integrates technology into the artistic process. Notably, there are Seabins installed beneath the sea-facing platforms, which serve as an alternative route from Moda Pier to the library. These Seabins collect and recycle plastic waste from the Bosphorus. The collected plastic waste is then transformed into 3D printer filaments within the library's workshops. Visitors can use these filaments for their projects, and there is a central 3D printer that continuously operates at the library's entrance to welcome visitors. The combination of sustainable practices, artistic exploration, and technological integration makes the art library a unique and innovative creative space.
