The project in Bergama constructs a spatial \u201chide and seek\u201d within the fragmented urban fabric surrounding the Red Basilica, where historical layers continually shift between concealment and revelation. The buried Roman grid is regrafted not as reconstruction, but as a latent geometry that organizes movement, connections and new public spaces, sometimes explicit, sometimes only sensed through alignments, thresholds and shadow. Through the lens of abjection, decisions of removal and retention reflect local processes of rejection and neglect, transforming scars and voids into sites of engagement. A monumental open field in front of the Red Basilica highlights its presence through contrast, producing a key moment of exposure within the broader spatial sequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
