This project reimagines the Antalya Archaeological Museum through a contemporary lens that merges conservation with spatial innovation. Titled Beyond the Artefact<\/em>, the thesis explores why it needs to be conserved and how archaeological museums can shift from static repositories to active cultural infrastructures. While preserving the modernist museum building as heritage, a new extension addresses spatial and curatorial limitations with elevated linear galleries, visible storage, and a sunken garden hosting research, conservation, and public workshops. The design proposes a layered visitor experience bridging the past with evolving museological practices, and challenging conventional boundaries between exhibition, research, and public engagement.
