In Fall 2024, in the second and final module of the semester, FA101 students explored the transformation of two-dimensional art into three-dimensional compositions. The project required selecting an artwork from the Ankara State Museum of Painting and Sculpture and deriving 3D abstractions through art analysis techniques introduced in the lecture \u201cFrom Observation to Creation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The design process unfolded in phases: beginning with an abstract representation of the artwork, students developed a “group” informed by their analyses. This evolved into a second phase focusing on variations within the group, culminating in a complex and integrative 3D design. The final compositions reflected clear organizational systems and a cohesive design idea, bridging the realms of art and spatial design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
