This thesis explores two main concepts across different scales. First, it proposes principles from an urban perspective, starting with an “urban scar” in Milan’s center along the railroads. The goal is to integrate these urban voids, surrounding parks, and piazzas into a unified route, serving as a metaphorical “band-aid” for the urban fabric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second, on a smaller scale, the thesis reexamines the concept of timelessness in design. It investigates what makes a design timeless, the key elements contributing to it, and whether temporary structures can become permanent fixtures. The thesis explores if temporality in design is limited to changing functions within a structure or extends to the structure itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
