Giorgio Gasco is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Bilkent University, Ankara. He earned his MSArch (2003) and his PhD (2007) at ETSAB, Politechnic University of Catalu\u00f1a, Barcelona. His research focuses on architecture of Mid 20th<\/sup> Century in Europe and Turkey. His work has been published in different national and international journals, such as: Abitare, JA, Metu JFA, Belleten. Two of his papers are included in the Index Islamicus Yearbook (vol. 27, 2011\/vol. 29, 2013), the international classified bibliography of publications in European languages on all aspects of Middle East and Islamic Studies, edited by C.H. Bleaney and S. Sinclair. In the previous years to his appointment at Bilkent as full time faculty, a heterogeneous group of experiences enabled him to confront with different professional expertise and work environments for the major part on an international level. He worked between Torino and Barcelona following his professional practice and at the same time dealing with theory and academic studies. Eventually he moved to Turkey to give a base to his academic career. He collaborated with several Universities (Gazi and Bilkent in Turkey, Politecnico of Milano and Bari in Italy, Gdansk University of Technology in Poland, Prague Architectural Institute in Czech Republic, Lusofona University in Portugal) and Institutions (Marangoni and IED in Milano, Italian Embassy in Ankara, Barcelona Architectural Center and CCCB in Barcelona).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
