This project involved the design of a residence for the Mexican ambassador, drawing inspiration from Mexican culture and lifestyle. In Mexican society, family holds a significant value, and daily life reflects a balance between isolating oneself from the surroundings and coming together as a family. Situated next to Ku\u011fulu Park, one of Ankara’s busiest locations, the design addresses the need for seclusion from the bustling urban environment through strategically placed trees surrounding the buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The architectural layout creates a cohesive rectangular structure, with designated areas symbolizing unity\u2014such as the courtyard and interior living spaces\u2014carefully carved out from this structure using skylights and open areas. This extraction is complemented by diverse openings of varying shapes in the building facades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the project incorporates the chukum stucco technique, a method rooted in ancient Mayan traditions and extensively utilized in Mexican architecture. This technique finds expression in the fa\u00e7ade of the buildings, adding a touch of cultural authenticity to the overall design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
