The Swedish Embassy Residence in Ankara harmoniously blends Swedish individuality with publicity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project utilizes the power of individual bedrooms and private gardens to ensure privacy for the Ambassador. However, in order to integrate individuality into the public sphere, the transition extends to the opposite corner, and the perimeter walls providing privacy are pulled inward, exposing a pond for the city’s residents with the addition of an exhibition wall. Similar to how Vikings utilized water for cultural purposes, water elements are incorporated to emphasize the transitional nature of the design. The use of inner gardens, curtain walls, and skylight windows allows for the optimal utilization of daylight within the residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
