These simulations can be related to the sun, wind, rain, etc. Simulation in the designing phase can be helpful to increase the performance of the buildings and make them closer to a more sustainable design. With the help of the simulation from LadyBug, designers can also calculate the possible energy production with PV units and optimize their design with Galapagos with the defined variation of their design. The lecture by Alp Giray K\u00f6se introduces commonly used tools and how they are used in design proccesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alp Giray K\u00f6se graduated from Bilkent University&#8217;s Department of Architecture in 2016 and completed his Advanced Architecture Master&#8217;s at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), Barcelona, Spain. Currently, he is in the Building Science Ph.D. program at Middle East Technical University, focusing on kinetic facade and energy production. He is interested in smart building and city systems, kinetic facades, Arduino coding, and environmental simulations. He also worked in many architecture firms as a lead designer and opened his firm in 2020.
