He has been working in the area of energy efficiency refurbishment and design strategies for future retrofit in the UK as well as smart buildings platform and investigation into wireless and energy efficiency of buildings, and will be presenting a broad range of research, design and development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Ha\u015fim Altan is Lecturer in Sustainable Environmental Design and Director of Building Environments Analysis Unit (BEAU) Research Centre in the School of Architecture at the University of Sheffield. He is a Chartered Architect (RIBA) and an Engineer (CIBSE) with over 15 years of experience in the field of Sustainable Environmental Building Design. Dr. Altan has focused on building environmental sustanability in his research and worked extensively on energy efficiency strategies for buildings through large research consortiums funded by the UK government and the European Union.
