This discretization process embraces numerous challenges, comprising not only the design and spatial concerns, but also structural and constructional necessities. In this talk, quadrilateral discretization of freeform surfaces will be discussed with the focus of material capacities of panels and the possibility of utilizing quadrilateral meshes with limited non-planarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Aysu Berk graduated from Middle East Technical University with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering and Master\u2019s degrees both in Civil Engineering and in Architecture. She received her PhD from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in the field of Building Science in 2012. Her research interests focus on the relation of structure and architecture; freeform surfaces and bridge structures.
