I am honored to chair Bilkent University Department of Architecture, which I have been a member and taken part in the establishment of.
BUDA has a relatively short, but successful history in educating young architects and academicians, who are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to render them leaders in their field and in the society. We see it as our major duty to continue with this philosophy of education, while being open to adopting new technologies and developments. Architecture is on the verge of a new era, in anticipation of many changes in how it is shaped both theoretically and in practice in relation to the new technologies. I am excited to be welcoming this new era of architecture with the motivated and dynamic team our department, comprising not only of international faculty, but of international students as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kurulu\u015funda rol ald\u0131\u011f\u0131m ve o g\u00fcnden bu yana bir \u00fcyesi oldu\u011fum Bilkent \u00dcniversitesi Mimarl\u0131k B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc\u2019n\u00fcn ba\u015fkan\u0131 olmaktan gurur duyuyorum.
Bilkent \u00dcniversitesi Mimarl\u0131k B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc, k\u0131sa olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 bir ge\u00e7mi\u015fe sahip. Kendi alan\u0131nda ve toplumda lider olabilecek bilgi ve beceri donan\u0131m\u0131na sahip mezunlar \u2013mimarlar, akademisyenler- yeti\u015ftirdik. Bu e\u011fitim felsefesi ile yola devam ederken, yeni teknolojileri ve de\u011fi\u015fimleri de kucaklamay\u0131 \u00f6ncelikli g\u00f6revimiz biliyoruz. Mimarl\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7inde bulundu\u011fumuz zaman diliminde, kuramsal olarak ve pratikte yeni teknolojilere g\u00f6re yeniden tan\u0131mlanaca\u011f\u0131 de\u011fi\u015fimler bekliyor. Bu d\u00f6nemi, yaln\u0131zca uluslararas\u0131 e\u011fitim kadrosu ile de\u011fil, uluslararas\u0131 \u00f6\u011frencileri ile de dinamik, motivasyonlu bir ekibi olan b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcm ile kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131yor olmaktan heyecan duyuyorum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
