This talk is about the radical opposition of Hans Scharoun to the Nazi dictatorship. His attitude in going deliberately against architecture is discussed as a way to challange Nazism on the architectural front.

Paola Ardizzola (Biography) 

Paola Ardizzola received her Ph.D in Architecture and Urban History at G.D’Annunzio University, Pescara (Italy) and she is the founder of the Department of Architecture at AIU/Antalya International University where she is currently working as an assistant professor. She is also the Chief of MusAA-MuseumArchitettureArt, founded in 2009 after the tragic events of the major earthquake in L’Aquila (Italy).

She was awarded the Bruno Zevi International Prize for an historical-critical essay on Architecture in 2010. Her fields of interest are "History and theory of contemporary architecture", "XX century architectural criticism", and "German expressionism art and architecture".
